FactIf you are planning a Halloween Party, remember that your pet might not think those costumes coming in the door are all that cute. Send your pet to Camp so that all the “strange” folks coming in to their house won’t frighten them. (Then again, maybe “strange” is normal at your house!!!)
Also,
On Trick or Treat Night, when little ghosts and superheroes come calling, keep your pet safe indoors. If they are not 100% trustworthy around open doors, keep them leashed or behind a gate while you hand out treats to the kids. When you give the trick-or-treaters their goodies, give your pet a small treat so they can enjoy this strange, exciting holiday, too. |
Fiction
“A
little candy If you don’t want your pet to feel left out during Halloween, make them a treat of their own. Whip up a snack of Cheezy Dog Bones!! INGREDIENTS: 2 cups
all-purpose or wheat flour Combine ingredients and mix well to form a stiff dough, kneading slightly. Flour surface and pat or roll into a thick square. Cut out with a bone-shaped cookie cutter. Or, use a paper bone-shaped pattern to cut around the shape. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes, until slightly brown on the bottom. Cool completely. Store in sealed sandwich bags. |
