Yesssss, kids are back to school!!

Fact

The summer vacation season is winding down BUT you still have a chance to book last minute reservations at Golden Lake for a late summer getaway.  The beach or the mountains are still calling your name!!

 OR………

 Take a long weekend trip to a Penn State home football game.

We’ll keep your four-legged kids for you.

Sunday:

Fiction

“Tomato Juice will get rid of that smell right away” is not always the case.  I know a few folks that have had this dilemma in the middle of the night (of course) when their dog has met up with the neighborhood skunk.  Thank goodness for 24-hr grocery stores so that you can do something about it!

 Two remedies we have heard that seem to work are:

1.Mix the following ingredients; 1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide, ¼ cup baking soda, and 2 tbsp of dish soap. It will foam/bubble!! Use right away for the best result.  If you need to repeat, make a new batch.

Or…. Ready…

2.Women’s douche products.  If you get the pre-mix, you will need 6 to 8 bottles for sure depending on the size of your dog.  If you buy the concentrate, use 1 bottle to 1 gallon of water.

Whichever method you choose, stand the dog in the bathtub with the drain closed.  Totally saturate the dog.  Re-apply until you know the mixture has made it all the way to the skin.  Rinse.  Repeat as needed.
